How long does the tour last and when do we start?
This is a full-day private trip, picking you up from your Tbilisi hotel around 08:30 (or a time you prefer, since every departure is private) and returning around 19:00. You'll reach Gudauri by about 10:30 after a stop at Ananuri fortress, spend the day there, and head back after a late lunch.
What is included in the price, and what isn't?

Is this trip suitable for children or older travellers?
The tour has a minimum age but is generally easygoing - it's a scenic drive with a stop at a fortress and time in the mountain resort, so it suits most ages and fitness levels. If you plan to ski, snowboard or paraglide, suitability depends more on each traveller's physical condition and experience, so let the guide know in advance so the day can be adjusted.
What's the best season to visit Gudauri?
Gudauri works year-round but offers different experiences: ski season runs roughly mid-December to early April, with the road to Gudauri cleared daily even in winter. In summer, skip the skiing and enjoy the Friendship Monument viewpoint, paragliding over the pass, or a walk along the ridges at 2,200 m altitude.
What should we bring?
Bring warm, layered clothing regardless of season, since Gudauri sits at 2,200 m and can be cold and windy even in summer. In winter, bring your own ski gear if you have it (or rent on site), plus sunglasses or goggles for glare off the snow. A camera is worthwhile for the Jvari pass and Ananuri fortress views along the way.
Is this a private tour, and how many people can join?
Yes, every departure is private - just your group, a dedicated driver, and an English-speaking guide. The listed price is based on two travellers; solo travellers and larger groups are quoted on request.
Can the tour start from Kutaisi or Batumi instead of Tbilisi?
The standard pickup is from your hotel in Tbilisi, but a start from Kutaisi or Batumi can be arranged on request - just mention it when booking so the route and timing can be adjusted.
