Private guides in Georgia

A good guide is the difference between seeing Georgia and understanding it. Ours are licensed, local and chosen for the way they explain things, not for the volume of their voice.

Languages

English and Russian always; German, French, Hebrew, Italian, Spanish, Arabic and Turkish on request. Tell us the language and the dates — the earlier for languages other than English, the better.

Formats

• City walks — Old Tbilisi, Mtskheta, Kutaisi, Batumi: three to four hours, on foot.
• Day with a guide and a car — the classic private tour; see our tours for ready-made days with prices.
• Specialists — wine (qvevri method, Kakheti cellars), architecture and the Soviet modernist heritage, hiking (Kazbegi, Svaneti, Tusheti), birding and botany, medieval history and the churches.

Standards

Every guide holds the GNTA guide licence, speaks the booked language fluently, and is briefed on your interests before the day. We pay our guides properly and do not take commissions from shops or restaurants — where we take you is where we would go ourselves. Guides are introduced by name when a booking is confirmed.
