A full day on foot from Mazeri up the Dolra valley to the glacier and waterfalls beneath Ushba, with a mountain guide for the whole route.
Do we actually walk onto the Ushba glacier?
No. The trail brings you to the glacier tongue and the waterfalls below it; stepping onto the ice would require technical equipment and is not part of this itinerary.
How fit do I need to be?
You should be comfortable walking 5-6 hours on uneven terrain with some elevation gain. It is not a technical climb, but it is a full day on your feet.
Is late October too late to book this?
The route normally runs June to October. Conditions this late in the season depend on recent snowfall and are checked at booking before we confirm the date.
What happens if the weather turns bad on the day?
The guide decides on site whether to shorten the route or turn back early. Reaching the final viewpoint is secondary to safety.
Prices are per person for two travelling together, in euros; solo travellers and larger groups are quoted on request. Every departure is private and adjusted to you. Hotels, wineries and restaurants on our routes are verified by GTour.
