A one-day crossing from Juta over Chaukhi Pass (3,338 m) to the three coloured Abudelauri lakes, with pick-up on the far side in Roshka.
Map: OpenStreetMap · Road route and driving times: OSRM · Times exclude stops.
How difficult is this hike?
Moderate to strenuous. The pass sits at 3,338 m, the climb from Juta is steep in places, and the day involves 6 to 7 hours of walking at altitude. It suits fit, experienced hikers rather than beginners.
What happens if the weather turns bad?
The guide decides on the day whether the pass is safe to cross. If not, the itinerary can switch to a shorter walk in the Juta valley; this is discussed and confirmed at booking.
Do I need to be an experienced hiker?
Yes. Prior hiking experience and a good level of fitness are expected, since there is no vehicle access once you start from Juta until you reach Roshka.
How much does this tour cost?
€260 per person based on two people travelling together. Solo travellers and larger groups are quoted separately and confirmed at booking.
Prices are per person for two travelling together, in euros; solo travellers and larger groups are quoted on request. Every departure is private and adjusted to you. Hotels, wineries and restaurants on our routes are verified by GTour.
