How long does the tour last and what time does it start?

The tour runs about 10 hours, starting at 08:30 from your Tbilisi hotel, though departure time can be adjusted to your preference since every tour is private. You return to your Tbilisi hotel around 19:00.

What is included and what isn't?

Included are a private car with driver, an English-speaking guide, and two winery tastings. Lunch is not included, typically costing 40-60 GEL per person with wine, and any wine bottles you buy to take home are also extra.

Is this tour private, and can it be done solo or with a larger group?

Yes, this is a fully private tour with your own car and guide, and the quoted price of 150 euros is per person based on two travellers. Solo travellers or larger groups can be accommodated with pricing on request.

Can we start from Kutaisi or Batumi instead of Tbilisi?

The standard route departs from your hotel in Tbilisi, but since every departure is private and adjusted to you, starting from Kutaisi or Batumi can be arranged on request — just ask when booking.

Is this tour suitable for children or older travellers?

The tour has no stated age restriction and is well suited to a wide range of ages, including children and older travellers, since it's a relaxed private day out with a car and driver rather than strenuous activity. The main physical element is walking the lanes and walls of Sighnaghi, which involves some uneven ground and gentle inclines.

What is the best time of year to visit, and can we join the grape harvest?

The tour can run year-round, but if you're interested in the grape harvest (rtveli), that takes place from late September through October — ask about joining the picking when you book. Outside harvest season you'll still get full cellar visits and tastings regardless of weather.

What should we bring or wear?

Comfortable walking shoes are recommended for exploring Sighnaghi's cobbled lanes and walls. Since there's a full Kakhetian lunch and wine tastings at two wineries, pace yourself, and bring cash for lunch and any wine bottles you wish to buy, since these are not included in the tour price.

Which wineries will we visit, and can we request Telavi or Tsinandali instead?

Wineries are chosen based on your taste from a dozen verified small wineries, ranging from natural and classic styles to grand estates, and all are small enough that you'll meet the winemaker. A second stop at Telavi and the Tsinandali estate can be arranged instead of a second Alazani valley winery if you request it.

How do we book and what are the payment or cancellation terms?

Private tour, priced per person for two travelling together (see the price table above for 1, 3 and 4–6 travellers). A deposit of 20 % confirms the booking; the balance is paid on arrival or by secure card link before the tour. Free cancellation up to 7 days before departure, 50 % refund up to 48 hours before, no refund after that; if a mountain pass closes we re-route or reschedule at no cost.
