- Carry an umbrella in Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi and Telavi, where rain and thunderstorms persist all day.
- Avoid the Pshaveli–Abano–Omalo route between km22 and km72, and check ahead on the Kutaisi-Alpana-Mamisoni section (km107-112) before driving toward Oni, where the entrance road has just reopened.
- If heading to Gudauri or Mestia, expect fresh snow and slippery surfaces, so use winter tyres and drive with caution; the Zugdidi–Mestia road at km177-178 is open again.
Thursday brings thunderstorms to Batumi and Kutaisi and rain showers to Tbilisi and Telavi, while the mountains see snow showers in Gudauri and Mestia and snow grains in Stepantsminda, with highs only 2–7C up there. The Pshaveli–Abano–Omalo road remains banned (km22–72), so plan around it, and the US dollar trades near 2.60 GEL today.
