- Carry rain gear in Tbilisi and Telavi today, as thunderstorms with near-total rain chance are forecast.
- Avoid the Pshaveli–Abano–Omalo road (km22–km72) and the Kutaisi-Alpana-Mamisoni section (km107–km112), both under traffic limits.
- Mestia and the Zugdidi–Jvari–Mestia–Lasdili road are open again, so travel to Svaneti can proceed normally despite fog near Mestia itself.
Heavy thunderstorms are expected across eastern Georgia today, with Tbilisi and Telavi both facing high rain chances, while the mountains stay cool and foggy in Gudauri and Stepantsminda; Batumi has fog and Kutaisi and Mestia remain dry under overcast skies. The Pshaveli–Abano–Omalo road remains closed between km22 and km72, so travellers should plan alternate routes toward Tusheti; the dollar trades at about 2.60 GEL.
