Georgia is one of the easiest countries in the region to travel with children — people like them, food is simple, distances are short — and our tours are private, so the day is yours.
Infants under 2 travel free in a car tour when they do not take a seat at meals or in hotels. Children’s prices for tours with meals, tickets or hotels are quoted per booking and are always lower than the adult price; tell us the ages and we send the figure in writing.
Itineraries are rewritten for families on request: shorter drives, a playground or a swim added, a museum shortened, dinner earlier. The guide carries water and knows where the toilets are.
Khachapuri, khinkali, fruit and rice are reliable child food; our restaurants can prepare plain dishes on request. Tell us about allergies when booking — Georgian cuisine uses walnuts widely.
Seat belts always; no swimming at unsupervised beaches; children stay with adults at fortresses and viewpoints. Our health and safety policy applies in full. For babies, pharmacies in every town sell the usual needs; the pharmacies and clinics guide lists paediatric clinics in Tbilisi and Batumi.
Children need their own passport. A child travelling with one parent or with other adults may be asked at the border for the other parent’s consent; see the entry rules.
