- New branded resort (Wyndham Grand) now consolidates five hotel buildings in Gonio, near Batumi.
- Check with the hotel directly for confirmed opening dates and rates before booking.
- Gonio is convenient for beach stays and visits to the nearby fortress and Sarpi border crossing.
A new hospitality project has been launched on the Black Sea coast near Batumi, where five separate hotel buildings in the Gonio area have been combined under a single brand as the Wyndham Grand Batumi Gonio resort.
The move brings the properties, located south of central Batumi along the coastal strip popular with summer visitors, under one management and branding umbrella. Gonio is known for its beach access and proximity to the Gonio-Apsaros fortress, a regional archaeological site, as well as its position on the road toward the Turkish border at Sarpi.
No details have been released on room rates, opening dates for individual buildings, or whether all five structures are newly built or previously operating under different names.
What it means for travellers
Travellers planning a stay in the Batumi-Gonio area now have an additional branded resort option with multiple buildings to choose from. Those booking should check directly with Wyndham Grand for confirmed opening dates and rates before travel. Gonio remains well placed for beach time and day trips to the nearby fortress or across the border crossing at Sarpi.
