- Batumi is being promoted as a viable destination outside the June-September beach season, including autumn and winter visits.
- Travellers should expect continued investment in hotels, restaurants and attractions aimed at extending the tourist season.
- Check current flight and ferry connections to Batumi, as off-season schedules may differ from peak summer timetables.
Batumi has been named Europe’s top year-round destination for the fourth time, according to an announcement reported by regional media. The recognition highlights the Adjara region’s Black Sea coastal city as a destination suitable for travel throughout all four seasons, rather than only in the traditional summer high season.
Batumi has invested heavily in recent years in its seafront boulevard, botanical garden, cable car to Anuria, casinos, restaurants and hotel infrastructure, positioning itself as a year-round hub combining beach tourism, nightlife, mountain excursions into Adjara’s highlands, and cultural attractions.
