Accessibility statement

We would rather tell you plainly what is and is not accessible than promise what Old Tbilisi’s cobbles cannot deliver.

Tours

• Vehicles: sedans and minivans with step-in height of about 40–50 cm; a folding wheelchair travels in the boot. A van with a ramp or lift can be arranged with notice of 7 days or more.
• Pace: every tour is private, so the pace, the number of stops and the length of walks are set by you. Say so when booking and the itinerary is rewritten.
• Sites: Jvari, Svetitskhoveli, Ananuri, Sighnaghi’s streets, Batumi boulevard, most museums and wine cellars are reachable with assistance; Gergeti Trinity (4×4 to the church, then steps), Vardzia (steep paths and stairs), Uplistsikhe (rock steps), David Gareja and the Tusheti and Svaneti trails are not wheelchair-accessible. Our guides know step counts and alternatives at each site and will tell you before you decide.
• Accommodation: hotels with lifts and step-free rooms are marked for us in the verified register; mountain guesthouses rarely have them.
• Sight and hearing: guides describe rather than point, write key words down and slow their speech on request; printed itineraries in large type are available; we can book a sign-language interpreter in Georgian or Russian with notice.
• Assistance dogs travel free in our vehicles; some churches and restaurants refuse animals, and we warn you where.

gtour.ge aims to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. Pinch-zoom is enabled, images carry alternative text, headings are structured, colour contrast of body text passes, forms are labelled and the site works without a mouse. Known gaps: some theme components (the tour booking widget, image sliders) are not fully keyboard-operable, and the interactive map requires a mouse or touch; a text list of every place is at verified places and A–Z. We test with Lighthouse and screen readers on each release and fix what we find.
