Georgia recorded USD 1,864.4 million in international travel revenue during the third quarter, according to newly released figures. The total marks an 11.9% increase compared with the same period a year earlier.
The third quarter, spanning July to September, typically represents the peak of Georgia’s tourist season, with visitors drawn to the Black Sea coast in Adjara, the Kakheti wine region and mountain destinations such as Svaneti and Kazbegi. The reported growth suggests continued strong demand from both regional and international travellers during the summer months.
No further breakdown by visitor nationality, spending category or regional distribution was included in the release. Georgian tourism authorities have in recent years highlighted growth in arrivals from Europe, the Gulf states and neighbouring countries alongside traditional markets such as Russia, Turkey and Israel.
What it means for travellers
- Rising revenue figures indicate Georgia’s tourism sector remains active and well-funded, supporting continued investment in hotels, transport and attractions.
- Peak summer season (July-September) sees the highest visitor numbers; travellers preferring quieter conditions may consider spring or autumn visits.
- No immediate changes to prices, routes or services are indicated by this data; travellers should continue to check specific venues and operators for current offerings.
