- A base in Isani suits travellers who want quieter streets at night but quick transport links into central Tbilisi by day.
- October's mild temperatures and thinner crowds make this a good window for walking the Avlabari–Metekhi–Old Town route from here.
- The location works equally well as a single-city stay or as a launchpad for day trips to Mtskheta or Kakheti.
October in Tbilisi brings cooler air, clearer skies and the kind of soft light that makes the city’s rooftops and river bends worth lingering over — which is exactly the idea behind Khedi, a 57-room hotel in the Isani district whose name translates simply as ‘view’. Set on St. Queen Ketevan Avenue, east of the Mtkvari River, the property is positioned to take advantage of its elevated spot, with rooms designed around a blend of contemporary and traditional Georgian touches rather than a single uniform style.
Isani is a working, residential part of the capital rather than a tourist strip, and that is part of its appeal this time of year. Instead of competing for tables and queues in the thick of the Old Town, guests get a calmer evening base while still being within easy reach of the sights that draw most visitors to Tbilisi. The avenue and nearby metro connections put Avlabari and Metekhi, Rike Park and the historic Old Town within a short ride, so the city’s cathedrals, bridges and riverside promenades remain close at hand without the hotel itself sitting in the densest tourist core.
Who it suits and how to get there

Khedi works well for travellers who prefer a slightly removed base with straightforward transport links — a profile that covers business visitors, short city-break travellers, and those staying longer who value predictable access to public transport over being in the thick of things. From Tbilisi International Airport, the hotel is reachable by taxi or ride-hailing in well under half an hour outside peak traffic, and the avenue itself connects directly toward the central districts, making onward trips into town simple at any hour.
October is a sensible month to base yourself here: daytime temperatures are mild enough for walking the riverside paths and old streets, autumn colour is visible in the city’s parks, and the heavier summer crowds around the main sights have thinned. From Khedi, it is easy to combine a stay with a half-day walk through Avlabari and Metekhi toward Rike Park and across to the Old Town, or to use the location as a base for day trips to Mtskheta or the wine region of Kakheti, both reachable within a few hours by road. The hotel is listed in the Georgian National Tourism Administration register, with details checked by GTour on 17 October 2026.
