- Avoid driving toward Mestia via the Zugdidi-Jvari road around km177-178 and skip the Tusheti route past Pshaveli-Abano-Omalo, both closed today.
- Carry rain gear in Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Telavi, where thunderstorms are likely most of the day; delay hikes near Gudauri given near-certain rain.
- If heading to Kazbegi or Mestia, expect wet roads and reduced visibility, but the Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi route in Kakheti is now reopened.
Heavy thunderstorms are forecast across Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Telavi with rain odds above 70%, while Gudauri sees storms at 9/6°C and Kazbegi and Mestia get steady rain and showers; Batumi stays milder with light showers.
