Lomtadze`s Marani Velistsikhe is a small Marani (Cellar), which is located in Gurjaani municipality, village Velistsikhe. The abovementioned Marani was built in the early 20th century, in the Cellar, there are 24 Pitchers (“Qvevri” – The big Pottery, which is placed in the ground) which are made in 1900-1905 years, and The Winepress (“Satsnakheli”), which is decorated with brick ornaments.
The uniqueness of the Marani is that the traditional Kakhetian method of wine making hasn’t not been stopped here for more than a century. The Family has vineyards of Gvinis Tetri, Rkatsi
