Tusheti — Georgia’s Last Wild Frontier (4 Days)

Over the Abano pass at 2,850 m to a region of shepherds, tower villages and no paved roads — open only three months a year.

Itinerary

Day 1	Tbilisi → Kakheti → Alvani; 4×4 over the Abano pass to Omalo. Overnight Omalo.
Day 2	Dartlo and Chesho in the Pirikiti valley; walk to Kvavlo. Overnight Dartlo or Omalo.
Day 3	Shenako and Diklo villages, the Diklo fortress walk. Overnight Omalo.
Day 4	Back over the pass; lunch and wine in Kakheti; Tbilisi by evening.

How difficult is the road?
Unpaved, narrow and high. Our drivers do it every week of the season. Many guests call it the highlight.
