The route

[Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/)

Why this tour

- —Twelve wines from eight Georgian wine regions, poured by the glass so you compare styles side by side

- —Three separate bars, not one long table — a reason to walk between Old Town and Vera after dark

- —A sommelier-guide explains qvevri versus European-style winemaking and how to read a Georgian label

- —Pkhali and cheese boards at each stop, enough food to keep pace with the wine

- —Small group on foot, starting at 18:30 when the Old Town is lit and quieter than daytime

- —Works well as a first or last evening in [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/), no car needed

Itinerary

18:30Meet your guide at a wine bar in Old [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) for the first flight of four wines, paired with a pkhali and cheese board, and an introduction to qvevri winemaking and the amber-wine style.

19:30Walk roughly fifteen minutes to a second bar on the edge of Vera for four more wines, with a focus on grape varieties you will not find outside Georgia, such as rkatsiteli and saperavi made in contrasting styles.

20:30Settle at a third bar for the final flight of four wines, comparing a traditional qvevri bottling against a modern, European-style one from the same grape, with time for questions and bottle recommendations to take home.

22:00Tour ends in Vera, a short taxi ride or walk back to most central [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) hotels.
