09:00Drive out of [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) toward Kakheti, either climbing the Gombori Pass (around 1,600 m, closed after heavy snow) or taking the lower, usually quicker road via Sagarejo.

10:00Optional stop on request, for example a roadside winery, the Alazani valley viewpoint near [Sighnaghi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/sighnaghi/), or a short break in [Telavi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/telavi/).

Good to know

- · Direct drive time is around two hours; a short stop adds 20 to 30 minutes

- · The Gombori Pass can close after heavy snow or ice, usually from December to March, checked at booking the day of travel

- · A sedan fits up to three passengers with normal luggage; ask for a minivan if you have wine cases or more bags

- · In winter carry a warmer layer, the pass sits above 1,600 m and is noticeably colder than [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/)

Questions

**Can the driver wait and bring us back the same day?**
Not on this transfer. For a same-day return, book Car with Driver by the Day instead, or arrange a separate return transfer.

**Which route is faster, Gombori or Sagarejo?**
Sagarejo is lower and usually quicker, especially outside summer. Gombori is more scenic but can close after heavy snow; the driver decides on the day based on road status.

**Can we stop at a winery on the way?**
Yes, one short stop is included at no extra charge. Tastings or a longer cellar visit can be arranged separately, checked at booking.

**Is the price per person or per car?**
Per car. The quoted price covers the whole vehicle, whether you travel alone or as a group up to the car's capacity.
