A late-afternoon walk through Old [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) with a local photographer, timed to reach Narikala for golden hour and the funicular viewpoint for blue hour.

The route

[Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/)

Why this tour

- —Route built around light, not sightseeing order: Betlemi stairs and the baths district first, Narikala for golden hour, the view over the Bridge of Peace at dusk

- —Guide is a working photographer who explains composition and camera settings for phone or mirrorless, not a generic city guide

- —Covers permission etiquette for portraits in the Old Town and at the baths, useful if you plan to photograph people

- —Four hours is enough to cover the full light cycle from afternoon shade to blue hour without rushing between stops

- —Small group by design, so the guide can work one-to-one on settings and framing rather than lecturing a crowd

- —Finishes at the funicular viewpoint, the standard spot for the cityscape shot, with time to wait for the right sky

Itinerary

16:30Meet near the Betlemi stairs in Old [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/); the guide checks each traveller's camera or phone and sets a shooting plan for the light ahead.

17:00Walk down through the sulphur bath district, working with the brick domes and narrow lanes while the sun is still angled low.

17:30Climb to Narikala fortress for the golden hour, with the Old Town roofs and the Kura river below as the main frame.

18:15Descend toward the Bridge of Peace as the light shifts, shooting the bridge structure against the fading sky.

18:45Reach the funicular viewpoint for blue hour, when the city lights come on and the sky still holds colour, the main shot of the walk.

20:30Walk ends near Rike Park or the Bridge of Peace; the guide can point you to dinner nearby.

Good to know

- · Old [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) has cobbled streets and stairs; the Narikala approach involves a steady uphill walk, wear closed shoes with grip

- · October evenings in [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) cool quickly after sunset, bring a layer for the blue hour stop

- · Golden and blue hour results depend on cloud cover; the guide adjusts the route but cannot change the weather

- · Exact sunset time and funicular operating hours checked at booking, they shift through the season

- · Drone use is restricted in central [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/), this walk does not include drone photography

- · Any lens or equipment you want feedback on, bring along, the guide works with what you already have

Questions

**Do I need a proper camera, or is a phone fine**
Phone photography is the most common case on this walk. The guide adjusts advice to whatever device you bring, from a phone to a mirrorless camera.

**What happens if it rains**
Light rain does not cancel the walk, the covered lanes near the baths give options. Heavy rain or storm leads to rescheduling, checked at booking.

**How many people are on the walk**
Designed for couples or small groups of up to four, so the guide can give each person direct attention on settings and framing.

**Is this tour listed with a fixed group price**
Quoted at €120 per person based on two travelling together. Solo and larger group rates quoted on request.
