The route

[Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/)

Why this tour

- —Narikala fortress reached by cable car from Rike Park, skipping the steep uphill walk

- —A working sulphur bath house in Abanotubani with soak time built into the schedule, not just a photo stop

- —Sioni Cathedral and Anchiskhati Basilica, two of the city's oldest working churches, seen on foot through the Old Town lanes

- —Dry Bridge flea market for Soviet-era cameras, silver and carpets, with time to browse rather than rush past

- —Mtatsminda funicular timed for dusk, when the Old Town and the Mtkvari river start to light up below

- —Private car for the longer hops between Rustaveli Avenue and Mtatsminda, so the day stays on schedule

Good to know

- · Old Town streets are cobbled and include steps; wear flat, comfortable shoes

- · Sioni and Anchiskhati are working churches — shoulders and knees should be covered, headscarves available at the door

- · The bath house visit is a soak, not a scrub treatment; bring or rent a towel, confirm options at booking

- · Late October evenings cool quickly after sunset, bring a jacket for the funicular terrace

- · The funicular can close for high wind or maintenance; if so we substitute a viewpoint reached by car

- · The day involves several hours of walking on uneven ground; let us know in advance if mobility is a concern

Questions

**Is the sulphur bath a private room or a shared pool?**
Both are possible. Shared public rooms are cheaper and included in the base plan; a private room is an upgrade, checked and quoted at booking.

**Is lunch flexible for vegetarians or other diets?**
Yes, tell us in advance and the restaurant will adjust the set menu accordingly.

**What happens if the Mtatsminda funicular is closed?**
We take you up by car to a comparable viewpoint instead, so the dusk view is not lost.

**Is this tour suitable for children?**
Yes. The cable car and funicular are popular with children, though the Old Town has steps and some narrow passages to watch on.

Prices are per person for two travelling together, in euros; solo travellers and larger groups are quoted on request. Every departure is private and adjusted to you. Hotels, wineries and restaurants on our routes are [verified by GTour](/verified/).
