A private Georgian feast in Tbilisi: a tamada leads the toasts, twelve dishes come out course by course, and a polyphonic trio sings between them.
| 19:00 | Arrival at the house or courtyard restaurant in Tbilisi, seated at a table set with cold dishes: pkhali, badrijani, Imeretian cheese and fresh bread. |
| 19:20 | The tamada opens the supra and explains the toasting order in English as each round is made, starting with peace and moving through family, parents and friends. |
| 20:00 | Hot dishes arrive in sequence, khinkali, mtsvadi or ojakhuri depending on the house, with qvevri wine poured throughout rather than bottled by the glass. |
| 20:45 | A three-voice polyphonic trio sings between toasts, drawing on Gurian, Svan and Kakhetian repertoire. |
| 21:30 | Dessert of churchkhela and fruit, Georgian coffee, and the tamada's closing toasts. |
| 23:00 | Evening ends, with a transfer back to your hotel in central Tbilisi. |
Is this a tourist show or a real supra?
It is held at a working family house or courtyard restaurant that hosts supras for locals too, with the same toasting order and the same songs, not a staged dinner theatre act.
Can I take part without drinking much?
Yes. Tell us when booking and the tamada adjusts the toasts; juice or soda is poured instead of wine without singling anyone out.
How large can the group be?
From 4 people up to 40, seated at one long table or several, with the same format scaled to size.
What does it cost?
€145 per person based on two people travelling together. Solo travellers and groups of three or more are quoted separately, checked at booking.
