Ten unhurried days across [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/), Kakheti and [Borjomi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/borjomi/), with rest days, short walks, lifts instead of stairs, and a doctor on call.

The route

[Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/)[Mtskheta](https://gtour.ge/georgia/mtskheta/)[Telavi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/telavi/)[Borjomi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/borjomi/)[Kutaisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/kutaisi/)

Why this tour

- —Only three hotel changes in ten days, each with a working lift, so bags come off the vehicle once a stay

- —Built-in rest days after every transfer, with nothing scheduled beyond a short walk if you feel like one

- —Vehicle and driver kept on standby for pickup from any site, so no one has to walk back to a meeting point

- —A doctor on call throughout, with pharmacies and the nearest clinic listed for each base before you travel

- —Kakheti and [Borjomi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/borjomi/) stretches use a single estate or hotel as a base, with day trips out and back rather than one-night stops

- —Pace set by the group, not by a checklist, with monasteries and old towns chosen for level or short paths

Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) airport, private transfer to your hotel, and the rest of the day free to settle in.

Day 2A short, level walking tour of Old [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) — Narikala by cable car rather than the climb, Sioni Cathedral, and the sulphur bath district — with lunch and an early finish.

Day 3Rest day in [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/), with an optional gentle half-day out to [Mtskheta](https://gtour.ge/georgia/mtskheta/) to see Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and Jvari Monastery, both reached by vehicle to the door.

Day 4Transfer from [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) to Kakheti, around two hours by comfortable vehicle, checking into an estate near [Telavi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/telavi/) for a four-night stay.

Day 5Rest day at the estate. No excursions scheduled; wine tasting on site or a short walk through the vineyard for those who want it.

Day 6A gentle day around [Telavi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/telavi/) and Kakheti: the old royal palace, the plane tree, and a stop at Alaverdi Monastery, with Ikalto and Gremi visited only if the group wants a longer day.

Day 7Second rest day at the estate, or an optional short outing to Sighnaghi, a walkable hill town with views over the Alazani Valley.

Day 8Transfer from Kakheti to [Borjomi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/borjomi/), roughly four to five hours including a seated lunch stop, arriving in time to rest before dinner.

Day 9Rest day in [Borjomi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/borjomi/) with an easy stroll through Borjomi Central Park (cable car available for the hillside section), or an optional day trip to [Kutaisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/kutaisi/) (about ninety minutes each way) for Gelati Monastery and Bagrati Cathedral, both reached close to parking.

Day 10Private transfer from [Borjomi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/borjomi/) back to [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/), with time built in for the three-hour drive plus traffic, for your onward flight.

Good to know

- · Dress code for churches and monasteries: shoulders and knees covered; headscarves for women are provided at most sites but not guaranteed, so bring a light scarf

- · Walking is kept short and mostly level; Narikala and [Borjomi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/borjomi/) park hillside sections use cable cars rather than climbs, but Old [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) and Sighnaghi have cobbled streets, so flat, supportive shoes are worth packing

- · Spring (April–June) and autumn (September–October) give the most comfortable temperatures for this pace; summer in Kakheti and [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) can be hot in the afternoon

- · This itinerary assumes no stairs-only access is required; let us know in advance about mobility aids or wheelchairs so we can check each hotel and site specifically

- · Bring a list of current medication and your insurance details; the on-call doctor will need both in case of a consultation

- · Opening days and any entrance fees for Gelati, Alaverdi and smaller monasteries vary by season, so these are checked at booking

Questions

**Is this tour suitable for someone using a wheelchair or a walker?**
Partially. Hotels have lifts and the vehicle can pull up close to most sites, but Old [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) and Sighnaghi have cobbled streets and some uneven ground. Tell us about specific mobility needs before booking so we can confirm each site.

**What happens if someone in the group needs to skip an activity or rest mid-day?**
The driver and vehicle stay with the group throughout, so anyone can return to the hotel at any point without ending the day for others.

**Is the doctor actually available, or is this just a phone number?**
It is a named local doctor who can be reached by phone throughout the tour and who knows the itinerary and hotels in advance, not a general emergency line.

**Is the Kutaisi day trip worth adding given the drive?**
Gelati Monastery and Bagrati Cathedral are around ninety minutes from [Borjomi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/borjomi/) each way, so it is a full day out. We treat it as optional and happy to replace it with a second rest day in Borjomi instead.

Prices are per person for two travelling together, in euros; solo travellers and larger groups are quoted on request. Every departure is private and adjusted to you. Hotels, wineries and restaurants on our routes are [verified by GTour](/verified/).
