Four mineral springs at [Sairme](https://gtour.ge/georgia/sairme/) and the sulfur baths and 1932 observatory of [Abastumani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/abastumani/), linked by private transfer from [Kutaisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/kutaisi/).

The route

[Kutaisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/kutaisi/)[Sairme](https://gtour.ge/georgia/sairme/)[Abastumani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/abastumani/)

Why this tour

- —[Sairme](https://gtour.ge/georgia/sairme/)'s four distinct mineral springs, used for digestive cures since the 19th century, set in sanatorium parkland

- —[Abastumani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/abastumani/)'s sulfur-bearing waters and pine forest air, long prescribed for respiratory conditions

- —The 1932 [Abastumani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/abastumani/) Astrophysical Observatory, still active, with a short walk up to the domes

- —Two spa traditions in one trip rather than one, without doubling your flight connections

- —Private transfers the whole way, so no bus schedules between resorts

- —[Kutaisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/kutaisi/) airport start and end, convenient for travellers arriving on low-cost European routes

Itinerary

Day 1Private transfer from [Kutaisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/kutaisi/) (about 1.5 to 2 hours) to [Sairme](https://gtour.ge/georgia/sairme/). Check in to the spa hotel, short walk through the sanatorium park to see the spring pavilions before dinner.

Day 2Full day at [Sairme](https://gtour.ge/georgia/sairme/). Morning consultation on the local waters, free time for treatments or walking the forest trails around the resort, afternoon at leisure in the park.

Day 3Transfer from [Sairme](https://gtour.ge/georgia/sairme/) to [Abastumani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/abastumani/), a mountain drive of roughly 3 to 4 hours depending on season and road conditions (checked at booking). Check in, evening visit to the historic sulfur bathhouse.

Questions

**Are the spa and medical treatments included in the price?**
The initial doctor consultation at each resort is included. Specific cures, massages or balneology courses are booked and paid locally, prices checked at booking.

**What is the best time of year for this trip?**
May to October gives the most reliable mountain road between [Sairme](https://gtour.ge/georgia/sairme/) and [Abastumani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/abastumani/). Winter travel is possible but depends on conditions, see our road status page before booking.

**Is this suitable if I have a heart condition or am pregnant?**
Mineral and sulfur water cures are not suitable for everyone. We recommend checking with your own doctor before booking, and the sanatorium doctor will advise on arrival.

**How long are the drives between resorts?**
[Kutaisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/kutaisi/) to [Sairme](https://gtour.ge/georgia/sairme/) is about 1.5 to 2 hours. Sairme to [Abastumani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/abastumani/) is about 3 to 4 hours on a winding mountain road, driving time varies by season.

Prices are per person for two travelling together, in euros; solo travellers and larger groups are quoted on request. Every departure is private and adjusted to you. Hotels, wineries and restaurants on our routes are [verified by GTour](/verified/).
