Good to know

- · Shoulders and knees covered for the synagogue and both churches; a scarf or light layer is enough

- · Comfortable flat shoes needed — cobblestones, the Betlemi stairs, and a steady uphill stretch to Narikala

- · The cable car can close in high wind; if so the guide walks the fortress approach instead, checked at booking

- · Total walking distance is roughly 3 to 4 km over uneven ground, not suited to prams

- · Synagogue visiting hours vary by day, checked at booking

- · Morning slots avoid the midday heat in summer; afternoon slots give better light for the Narikala viewpoint
