The route

[Kutaisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/kutaisi/)

Why this tour

- —Covers Bagrati Cathedral, the Colchis Fountain, the Green Bazaar and the chain bridge in a single 4-hour loop

- —Timed around [Kutaisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/kutaisi/) International Airport flight schedules, so it works as a stopover rather than a full extra day

- —Green Bazaar visit includes the spice and cheese rows, with a chance to taste churchkhela and Imeretian cheese

- —Short walk through the old Jewish quarter near the river, one of [Kutaisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/kutaisi/)'s older residential pockets

- —Private car and licensed guide throughout, no joining a bus tour or waiting on other travellers

- —Flexible start time to match your flight, whether you are landing in the morning or flying out in the evening

Good to know

- · Bagrati Cathedral is an active church; shoulders and knees should be covered, scarves are usually available at the entrance

- · The Green Bazaar is crowded and the stone floors can be uneven and slippery when wet, wear comfortable closed shoes

- · Bagrati sits on a hill with a short uphill walk and some steps from the car park

- · This half-day works well as a buffer either side of a [Kutaisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/kutaisi/) flight; let us know your flight number when booking

- · Cash in Georgian lari is useful for small bazaar purchases, cards are not widely accepted there

- · Rain affects the market stalls less than the hilltop walk, bring a light jacket outside the summer months

Questions

**Can this fit between two flights at Kutaisi airport?**
Yes, this is designed for exactly that. Tell us your arrival or departure time and we will build the 4 hours around it, with the driver and guide waiting at arrivals or returning you to departures.

**Is the walking difficult?**
No, it is a gentle city walk with one moderate uphill section to Bagrati Cathedral. Comfortable shoes are enough, no hiking gear needed.

**What if it rains?**
The tour runs in light rain. The Green Bazaar is largely covered, and Bagrati and the bridge walk are shortened slightly if the weather is heavy.

**Can we add Gelati Monastery or Prometheus Cave to this half-day?**
Both are possible but would extend the tour beyond 4 hours and change the price; ask us for a combined half-day plus Gelati option when booking.

Prices are per person for two travelling together, in euros; solo travellers and larger groups are quoted on request. Every departure is private and adjusted to you. Hotels, wineries and restaurants on our routes are [verified by GTour](/verified/).
