Itinerary

Day 1Private transfer from [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) airport to your hotel in the Old Town. Evening at leisure, with a restaurant recommendation nearby.

Day 2Morning guided walk through Old [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/), Narikala and Abanotubani, then a private afternoon transfer to Kakheti wine country. Check into a wine estate guesthouse near [Telavi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/telavi/) and sit down to a private cellar dinner.

Day 3Full day in Kakheti: [Telavi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/telavi/)'s royal palace and old plane tree, the monasteries at Alaverdi and Ikalto, and Gremi, with wine tastings at two estates along the way. Second night in Kakheti.

Day 4Morning transfer back through [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) to [Stepantsminda](https://gtour.ge/georgia/stepantsminda/), roughly four hours on the road with stops. Afternoon walk or drive up toward Gergeti Trinity Church below Mount Kazbek, overnight in a mountain lodge with a direct view of the peak.

Day 5Free morning in [Stepantsminda](https://gtour.ge/georgia/stepantsminda/) for an optional short walk, then transfer back to [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) (2h55) for a helicopter transfer to [Mestia](https://gtour.ge/georgia/mestia/), subject to weather and checked at booking. If the helicopter cannot fly, a private 4×4 covers the same route by road via Kutaisi, adding a long driving day.

Day 6Full day in [Mestia](https://gtour.ge/georgia/mestia/): medieval Svan defence towers, a walk toward the Chalaadi glacier or a village beyond town, with Ushba and Tetnuldi visible on a clear day. Free afternoon in Mestia.

Day 7Private transfer from [Mestia](https://gtour.ge/georgia/mestia/) to [Batumi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/batumi/), about five to six hours with a lunch stop in Kutaisi. Check into a sea-view suite on the Batumi boulevard, evening free to walk the Old Town.

Day 8Morning at leisure on the [Batumi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/batumi/) boulevard or in the Old Town, then private transfer to Batumi airport for departure.

Questions

**What happens if the helicopter to Mestia is cancelled for weather?**
We switch you to a private 4×4 over the same route via Kutaisi. It adds a long driving day but the overall price and itinerary stay intact.

**Which hotels do you actually use?**
A mix of boutique hotels and wine estate guesthouses, confirmed for your dates before you book. We can send two or three named options with a plain opinion on each.

**Is the whole trip private?**
Yes, private car throughout. A licensed guide joins on the days noted in the itinerary; outside those, it is just you and the driver.

**What is the price for two solo travellers or a small group?**
This itinerary is priced at €2990 per person based on two travelling together. Solo and group pricing is quoted separately once we know your dates and preferred hotels.

Prices are per person for two travelling together, in euros; solo travellers and larger groups are quoted on request. Every departure is private and adjusted to you. Hotels, wineries and restaurants on our routes are [verified by GTour](/verified/).
