Twelve days from Kakheti's vineyards to Svaneti's towers and the Batumi seafront, with the Georgian Military Highway, Vardzia and Rabati along the way.
| Day 1 | Arrival in Tbilisi and transfer to your hotel. An evening walk through the Old Town, Narikala and the sulphur bath district if you arrive with daylight or energy left. |
| Day 2 | Full day in Tbilisi with a licensed guide, covering the Old Town, Mtatsminda and the markets, with time built in for lunch at your own pace. |
| Day 3 | Drive east to Sighnaghi, visiting Bodbe Monastery and the tomb of St Nino on the way in, then walking the restored walled town above the Alazani valley. |
| Day 4 | Telavi and the monasteries of Alaverdi, Ikalto and Gremi, with a cellar visit in the afternoon. Overnight in Telavi. |
| Day 5 | Drive to Stepantsminda via Ananuri fortress and the Gudauri pass on the Georgian Military Highway. In the afternoon, the walk or 4x4 ride up to Gergeti Trinity Church, weather permitting. |
| Day 6 | Free morning in Stepantsminda, then the return drive via Tbilisi to Gori, with visits to Gori fortress and the Stalin Museum. |
| Day 7 | Uplistsikhe cave town in the morning, then on to Akhaltsikhe and the restored Rabati Castle. |
| Day 8 | Full day to Vardzia cave monastery and Sapara monastery in the hills above Akhaltsikhe. |
| Day 9 | Drive to Kutaisi through the Borjomi gorge, with time in the afternoon for Bagrati Cathedral and the Green Bazaar. |
| Day 10 | Gelati and Motsameta monasteries in the morning, then the mountain road to Mestia, arriving in the evening. |
| Day 11 | Full day in Svaneti: a walk among the Svan towers, the Chalaadi Glacier trail, or an Ushguli day trip if the road is open (checked at booking). |
| Day 12 | Long drive from Mestia to Batumi via Zugdidi, with an afternoon on the Batumi boulevard before your departure transfer. |
Can we shorten or extend the route?
Yes. Each day can be adjusted, and regions such as Tusheti or an extra night in Batumi can be added, checked at booking.
Is this trip possible outside summer?
Yes, the route runs year-round, but November to April requires extra buffer days around the Military Highway and Svaneti sections in case of closures.
Do we need a 4x4 for the whole trip?
No. A sedan or minivan covers most of the route; a 4x4 is used for the Kutaisi-Mestia leg and any mountain sections affected by snow.
Can we visit Ushguli?
Ushguli can be added as a day trip from Mestia if the road is open at the time of travel, checked at booking.
