A half-day up the Adjaristskali valley from [Batumi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/batumi/) to the arched Makhuntseti and Dandalo bridges, a Chkhaveri wine cellar in [Keda](https://gtour.ge/georgia/keda/), and a proper Adjarian lunch.

The route

[Batumi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/batumi/)[Keda](https://gtour.ge/georgia/keda/)

Why this tour

- —Two stone arched bridges from the 19th century, Makhuntseti and Dandalo, both still used by local traffic

- —Makhuntseti waterfall, a short walk from the car park, running strongest after rain or snowmelt

- —A working cellar in [Keda](https://gtour.ge/georgia/keda/) pouring Chkhaveri, the light red grape native to this valley

- —Boiled khachapuri for lunch, the Adjarian dish rarely found outside this region

- —Private car and English-speaking driver-guide, no fixed-departure bus and no other groups

- —Hotel pickup and drop-off in [Batumi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/batumi/), door to door in one day

Good to know

- · The valley road is mostly paved but narrows near the bridges, with some winding sections; expect about 45–55 minutes each way

- · Wear closed shoes for the waterfall path and the bridge approaches, which can be uneven or damp

- · The cellar is cool year-round; bring a light layer even in summer

- · Lunch is substantial; boiled khachapuri is filling on its own, pace yourself if you plan to taste wine afterward

- · This trip does not continue to Khulo or Goderdzi Pass; that route needs a full day and can be arranged separately

- · Cash is useful in [Keda](https://gtour.ge/georgia/keda/) for small purchases, cards are not always accepted outside [Batumi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/batumi/)

Questions

**Is the wine tasting included in the price?**
Yes, the Chkhaveri tasting at the [Keda](https://gtour.ge/georgia/keda/) cellar is included; any extra bottles you want to buy are paid on the spot.

**How long is the drive from Batumi?**
About 45 to 55 minutes each way along the Adjaristskali valley, depending on traffic through [Batumi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/batumi/)'s outskirts.

**Is this suitable for children?**
Yes, the walking is short and level at both bridges and the waterfall; the road has winding stretches, so motion-sensitive children may prefer the front seat.

**Can we combine this with Khulo or Goderdzi Pass?**
Not on this itinerary; that extension needs a longer day and can be quoted separately, checked at booking.

Prices are per person for two travelling together, in euros; solo travellers and larger groups are quoted on request. Every departure is private and adjusted to you. Hotels, wineries and restaurants on our routes are [verified by GTour](/verified/).
