A half-day walk and short drive through Batumi's Old Town, boulevard and botanical garden, timed to morning or afternoon light.
| 09:00 | Pickup from your Batumi hotel. Short drive to Europe Square, the main square of the Old Town rebuilt in Habsburg and Art Nouveau style. |
| 09:20 | Walk through the Old Town streets to the Orta Jame mosque quarter, an active Ottoman-period mosque; modest dress required and shoes off at the entrance. |
| 10:00 | Walk to the seafront boulevard, Batumi's main promenade, ending at the Ali and Nino moving statue, which the two figures slide through each evening. |
| 10:45 | Drive about 25 minutes north to the Batumi Botanical Garden on its cape above the sea. |
| 11:10 | Garden walk along the upper and lower paths, with sea views from several lookout points. Paths are long and partly hilly; a full loop can take over an hour on foot. |
| 12:45 | Drive back to your hotel, arriving by around 13:30 depending on the garden route taken and the starting time chosen. |
Can we start in the afternoon instead of the morning?
Yes. The route works either way; afternoon starts let you catch the Ali and Nino statue's daily movement, time checked at booking.
How far is the botanical garden from the Old Town?
About 9 km north along the coast, roughly 20 to 25 minutes by car depending on traffic.
Do we need to cover our heads at the mosque?
Women are usually asked to cover hair with a scarf, and all visitors remove shoes; scarves are often available at the entrance but bringing your own is safer.
Is this tour suitable with young children or limited mobility?
The Old Town and boulevard are flat and easy. The botanical garden has slopes and stairs in parts, so let us know in advance if mobility is a concern and we can plan a shorter loop.
