Four nights in [Bakuriani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/bakuriani/)'s gentle ski bowl, with lift passes, children's ski school, sledging and the narrow-gauge Kukushka train, all reached via a stop in [Borjomi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/borjomi/).

The route

[Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/)[Borjomi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/borjomi/)[Bakuriani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/bakuriani/)

Why this tour

- —[Bakuriani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/bakuriani/) sits at 1,700 metres with wide, low-gradient slopes built for first-time skiers and young children, not steep Gudauri-style terrain

- —Four full nights means two to three proper ski or lesson days without a single-day rush

- —Family hotel with an indoor pool gives children somewhere to go once legs are tired of boots

- —The Kukushka narrow-gauge train and open sledging slopes fill the afternoons when lessons finish early

- —A stop in [Borjomi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/borjomi/)'s Mineral Water Park breaks the drive and lets children run before the mountain road

- —Private transfers throughout, so there is no shuttle bus timetable to work around with small children

Itinerary

Day 1Private pickup in [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/) and a two-and-a-half to three-hour drive to [Borjomi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/borjomi/), with a stop in Borjomi Mineral Water Park before continuing up to [Bakuriani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/bakuriani/) and checking into your family hotel.

Day 2Morning lift pass for Didveli, with children's group ski school running alongside; afternoon free for the hotel pool or a first go at sledging on the beginner slopes.

Good to know

- · Season runs December to March; snow cover is most reliable from mid-December, checked at booking closer to your dates

- · The [Tbilisi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/tbilisi/)–[Borjomi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/borjomi/)–[Bakuriani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/bakuriani/) road climbs steadily and can be icy in parts; our drivers carry chains and adjust timing to conditions

- · Didveli and Kokhta are beginner-to-intermediate lifts, suitable for a first family ski trip, not a destination for advanced skiers

- · Dress in layers with waterproof outer shell, gloves and good snow boots; ski clothing can also be rented locally

- · [Bakuriani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/bakuriani/) hotels vary in size; ours are chosen for family rooms and an indoor pool, not nightlife

- · Bring sunglasses or goggles, the snow glare at this altitude is stronger than it looks from the valley

Questions

**What ages does the ski school take?**
Most [Bakuriani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/bakuriani/) ski schools accept children from about four years old; we confirm age groups and group sizes with the school at booking.

**How long is the drive from Tbilisi?**
Around two and a half to three hours to [Bakuriani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/bakuriani/) including the [Borjomi](https://gtour.ge/georgia/borjomi/) stop, depending on traffic and winter road conditions.

**What if there is no snow on our dates?**
[Bakuriani](https://gtour.ge/georgia/bakuriani/) has snow-making on the main runs and sledging slopes are maintained separately; if conditions are genuinely poor we discuss alternatives before you travel.

**Can we extend the stay or add Borjomi spa time?**
Yes, extra nights and spa or National Park add-ons can be quoted at booking.

Prices are per person for two travelling together, in euros; solo travellers and larger groups are quoted on request. Every departure is private and adjusted to you. Hotels, wineries and restaurants on our routes are [verified by GTour](/verified/).
