Join a Kakheti family for the grape harvest: picking, treading, filling the qvevri, and the supra that follows, with two estate nights and two in Sighnaghi.
| День 1 | Private transfer from Tbilisi to the Telavi area (roughly 1.5 hours), check in at the first wine estate, orientation walk through the vineyard rows and welcome dinner with the host family. |
| День 2 | Full harvest day: picking grapes in the vineyard, treading them by foot in the traditional satsnakheli, and filling qvevri with the fresh must, followed by a harvest supra with toasts in the evening. |
| День 3 | Transfer to a second estate near Kvareli, tasting Kindzmarauli and comparing qvevri methods, a stop at Ilia Chavchavadze's house-museum and the Soviet-era wine tunnel, then on to Sighnaghi for check-in. |
| День 4 | Morning churchkhela-making session, then a walk along Sighnaghi's 18th-century fortress wall and down to Bodbe Monastery and the tomb of St Nino, with free time in town in the afternoon. |
| День 5 | Final breakfast overlooking the Alazani valley, then private transfer back to Tbilisi (about 1.5–2 hours), with drop-off at your hotel or the airport. |
Do I need wine knowledge to join the harvest work?
No. The family and estate staff show you what to do at each stage; no prior experience is expected.
What happens if it rains during the harvest days?
Picking can pause for weather, but treading and qvevri filling happen under cover, so the core activities usually go ahead regardless.
Can this trip run outside September–October?
The harvest work itself is seasonal and tied to the grape ripening; outside that window we can offer the same route as a wine-country tour without the harvest activities — ask about the 3-day Rtveli or Kakheti Grand Wine tours.
Is this trip suitable for solo travellers?
Yes. The €1490 per person rate is based on two travelling together; solo and group rates are quoted once we know your dates and numbers.
