Zurab Gvaladze Winery is a wine-focused enterprise situated in Imereti, one of Georgia’s historic winemaking regions known for its distinctive approach to qvevri wine production and indigenous grape varieties. The winery is rooted in continuing a long-standing family tradition of wine, reflecting the generational craft commonly associated with Imeretian viticulture.

The property is located in the village of Meore Obcha, within the broader Imereti region of western Georgia. Imereti lies between the Greater Caucasus foothills and the Likhi Range, an area characterized by fertile valleys, mixed agriculture, and a mild climate suited to grape cultivation. Visitors traveling through the region typically access it via the main routes connecting Kutaisi, the regional capital, with surrounding rural districts, making the winery reachable as part of a broader exploration of Imereti’s countryside and wine culture.

This place suits travelers interested in Georgia’s wine heritage, particularly those keen to understand family-run winemaking traditions within the Imereti region, away from the country’s more heavily touristed wine areas such as Kakheti.
