Wine Goreli is a wine-focused venue situated in Gori, the administrative center of the Shida Kartli region, on Gmirebis Street. The business was officially founded on February 22, 2022, though its winemaking roots reach back earlier, reflecting a continuation of local tradition in an area historically tied to agriculture and viticulture in the Mtkvari river valley.

Gori itself is one of central Georgia’s key towns, known for the Gori Fortress overlooking the city and its proximity to the Stalin Museum. The surrounding Shida Kartli region also offers access to the cave town of Uplistsikhe, a notable archaeological site a short drive away, as well as the wider agricultural landscape that has long supported winemaking alongside grain and fruit cultivation. The town is well connected by road to Tbilisi and other parts of eastern and western Georgia, making it a convenient stop for travelers moving between regions.

Wine Goreli suits visitors with an interest in regional wine traditions outside the more frequently visited Kakheti area, as well as those already exploring Gori’s historical sites and looking to combine that visit with a stop connected to local winemaking.

Wine Goreli was officially founded on February 22, 2022, although our winemaking history began much earlier, in 2017. It was in that year that we started producing wine, and to this day, wines from the 2017 harvest are carefully preserved in our cellar. These bottles reflect the beginning of our journey, our inspiration, and our motivation.

In 2022, the company began planting vineyards in the village of Kvakhvreli. As a result, we received our first harvest in 2025. At this stage, 14 different grape varieties have been planted, and we continue to develop and expand our vineyards step by step.
