Family cafe Ana-Teo is a small gastronomy venue in the Ajara region, listed in the register as a family-run operation with roots described as a multi-generational winery tradition. It sits in the village of Mukhaestate, reached via a local street and alley address that places it within the quieter, rural side of Ajara rather than the coastal strip around Batumi.

The surrounding area is typical of inland Ajara: hilly terrain, small villages and agricultural land, with the Black Sea coast and Batumi’s urban amenities accessible by road for visitors who base themselves closer to the city. Travelers exploring Ajara’s mountain routes, including those heading toward Keda or the wider highland districts, may pass through similar village settings.

This spot suits visitors interested in family-run gastronomy and a connection to local winemaking heritage, rather than those seeking resort-style facilities. It is best approached as part of a broader exploration of Ajara’s rural villages and inland countryside, away from the main coastal tourist centers.

In 1997, our activity took on a commercial character. Initially, we produced 200 liters of wine for sale. As demand steadily increased, production expanded year by year, and today we produce up to 25 tons of wine and 7 tons of chacha annually.
