Shaverge is a small-scale wine cellar with adjoining cottages located in Shilda village, in the Kakheti region of eastern Georgia. The cellar produces qvevri wines made from Saperavi, Rkatsiteli and Kisi grapes, following the traditional Georgian method of fermenting and ageing wine in buried clay vessels.

Shilda lies within the Alazani Valley, one of Kakheti’s principal wine-growing districts, and is within reach of regional landmarks such as the Alaverdi Cathedral and the town of Telavi, which serves as a practical base for exploring the area’s vineyards and monasteries. The surrounding countryside combines vineyard plots with views toward the Caucasus foothills, typical of the Kakheti landscape.

Wine cellar Shaverge produces Kvevari wines: Saferavi, Rkatsiteli and Kisi according to the traditional Georgian method. We have both new and bicentenary pitchers in the cellar. We offer our guests a tasting of our produced wines, master classes: baking bread in the bakery, raising the church, preparing khinkli, etc. During the vintage season, tourists can pick grapes in our vineyard and press them in the wine press, eat a dinner prepared with Georgian dishes, have fun, relax in the beautiful courtyard of the winery, and sleep at night. in comfortable cottages
