Saba Pulariani’s Wine Cellar is a small, family-run winery located in the Imereti region of western Georgia, an area long associated with traditional qvevri winemaking and native grape varieties such as Tsitska, Tsolikouri and Krakhuna. According to the register, the cellar continues a centuries-old family practice of Georgian winemaking, carried on with care and respect for inherited methods.

Imereti is centred on the city of Kutaisi, one of Georgia’s oldest urban centres, and the surrounding area includes notable sites such as Bagrati Cathedral, Gelati Monastery and the Okatse and Prometheus caves. Travelers moving between Tbilisi and the Black Sea coast, or exploring western Georgia’s monasteries and karst landscapes, often pass through this region, making a stop at a local winery a natural addition to a broader itinerary.

The cellar is likely to appeal to visitors interested in Georgia’s winemaking heritage and in small, family-operated producers rather than larger commercial estates, as part of a wider exploration of Imereti’s cultural and natural landmarks.

Wine — Imereti, Georgia

Our family winery continues the centuries-old tradition of Georgian winemaking with love and respect. We make wine from grapes grown in our own vineyards, using natural methods and with special attention to every stage – from the vine to the aging of the wine. Our goal is to preserve the natural aroma of the grapes and the character of the region in each bottle.

We offer guests coming to the winery not only wine tasting, but also a warm, family atmosphere, where they can learn about the winemaking process, the traditions of the Georgian table and local culture. For us, wine is not just a drin
