Raminashvilebis Marani is a small family-run winery situated in Kvemo Kartli, one of Georgia’s notable wine-producing regions in the country’s south. As the register description notes, it is a personal family business, reflecting the smaller-scale, family-operated winemaking tradition common throughout the area. The winery is located on Shvabebi street, a name tied to the Swabian German settlers who historically lived in this part of Bolnisi municipality, an area long associated with vineyards and agricultural life.

Kvemo Kartli sits within reasonable driving distance of Tbilisi, making the region accessible for day visits or short excursions from the capital. The wider Bolnisi district is known for its viticulture, rural landscapes, and historic sites, including churches and settlements that reflect the area’s mixed cultural heritage. Visitors exploring this corner of Georgia can combine a stop at the winery with a broader look at the region’s rural character and wine culture.

This listing suits travelers interested in small, family-run wine producers and those wanting to explore Kvemo Kartli’s winemaking traditions away from larger commercial operations, as part of a self-guided regional wine or countryside route.

The role of me and my family is to popularize the Assureti red wine called “Shala” from the vines grown in the vicinity of this village. This wine is aged in our German ce
