Otia’s Ezo is a small winery in the Imereti region, situated in Tskaltubo on Khelovnebis Street. The register notes that winemaking here began some time ago, placing the operation within Imereti’s long-standing tradition of qvevri and cellar-based wine production, a style distinct from the better-known Kakheti wine route in the east of the country.

Tskaltubo itself is recognisable chiefly as a former Soviet-era spa town, with its cluster of abandoned and partly restored sanatoriums, mineral bathhouses, and a park at its centre. The area is also close to natural attractions such as Prometheus Cave and Sataplia Nature Reserve, both known for karst formations. The regional centre, Kutaisi, lies a short drive away and serves as the main transport hub, with rail and road connections linking it to Tbilisi and other parts of western Georgia.

This makes Otia’s Ezo a reasonable stop for travellers already exploring Tskaltubo’s spa heritage or combining a visit to the nearby caves with an introduction to Imeretian wine culture, rather than a standalone destination requiring a dedicated trip.

Winery “Otia’s Ezo” is located inwest Georgia, Imereti region, Tskaltubo. They started winemaking in 2014. Otia Ioseliani was famous Georgian writer, when he was passed out, his sons family moved to his house-museum where is located wine-cellar too.

Otia’s Ezo has little vineyard to the west side of Georgia, They Produced there Tsolikouri, Otskanuri Sapere, Chkhaveri…

They use only organic treatment for grape, winemaker picks grape by hand, there harvest period depends on sugar level in grape and also moon calendar.
