Nucmino is a small wine cellar located in Kvemo Kartli, a region in southeastern Georgia known for its mix of lowland vineyards, historic towns and proximity to Tbilisi. The cellar sits on Pirosmani Street, in a setting typical of the area’s rural winemaking communities, where small producers often work alongside family plots and traditional qvevri cellars.

According to its own register description, the idea behind the cellar took shape in 2021, when its founders began experimenting by placing two types of wine in the same barrel — a detail that points to a hands-on, small-scale approach to winemaking rather than large commercial production. Visitors travelling through Kvemo Kartli can reach the area by road from Tbilisi or nearby district centers, with the region’s broader landscape offering additional stops such as other local wineries, villages and countryside scenery along the way.

Nucmino is best suited to travelers interested in small, independent wine producers and those curious about experimental or non-standard blending methods, rather than visitors seeking a large-scale commercial wine tourism experience.

Wine — Kvemo Kartli, Georgia

The idea to create a cellar came to me in 2021, we put two types of wine on the same barrel. These wines received great praise from wine experts and people interested in wine, which gave me more incentive and strength to take this matter seriously, and in 2022 I officially registered the cellar “Nutsmin”, the name of which I created from the initials of my son.Winemaking technology

Winemaking is done both in the traditional Georgian method – in a qvevri,

as well as in a stainless steel tank – in a classic one.
