Mate’s Marani is a family-owned winery and ethno-location set in the Imereti region of western Georgia, an area long associated with traditional winemaking and qvevri wine culture. The site is described as perfectly located, positioning it conveniently for travelers exploring this part of the country.

Imereti is known for its mix of natural and cultural sites, including the Prometheus Cave, Okatse and Martvili canyons, and the historic city of Kutaisi with its Bagrati Cathedral and Gelati Monastery. Visitors based in or passing through the region can typically combine a stop at a local winery with excursions to these nearby landmarks, making the area accessible by car from Kutaisi and surrounding towns.

Mate’s Marani suits travelers interested in Georgian wine traditions and rural, family-run hospitality as part of a broader Imereti itinerary. It offers a point of interest for those curious about the region’s winemaking heritage alongside its natural scenery and historic sites.
