Jusos Winery is a small-scale wine producer located in Sagarejo, a municipality in Kakheti, the country’s principal wine-growing region. The winery sits at Gulisashvili street 24, within the town of Sagarejo itself, close to the main road connecting Tbilisi with the rest of Kakheti.

Sagarejo lies at the western edge of Kakheti, making it one of the first wine-producing areas travelers reach when heading east from the capital. The surrounding district offers access to the broader Kakheti wine route, with the towns of Telavi, Sighnaghi and Gurjaani within reasonable driving distance, as well as the semi-desert landscapes and monastery complex of David Gareja to the south. The area combines vineyard scenery with easy connections to Tbilisi, roughly an hour’s drive away.

Jusos Winery suits visitors interested in exploring Kakheti’s wine culture without venturing far from Tbilisi, including those combining a wine stop with a broader day trip through the region’s rural and historic sites.

2017 by two brothers, Giorgi and Lasha Khvedelidze Thus, the family has revived family’s longlasting

tradition of wine making and launched production of Qvevri wines named after a grandfather Juso a

winemaker and wine expert, who devoted his entire life to the high quality wine production in the

Kakheti region Brothers from a family of winemaker followed in their grandfather Juso’s footsteps by

making natural Qvevri wines, initially just for a personal use
