Guesthouse Luka is a small guest house located in Chazhashi, one of the historic hamlets that make up the Ushguli community in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti. Ushguli is widely known as one of the highest permanently inhabited settlements in Europe and is recognised, together with its medieval Svan defensive towers, as part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. Staying here places guests at the heart of this mountain landscape, within walking distance of the stone towers and village lanes that define Chazhashi.

The surrounding area is a base for exploring Upper Svaneti, including trails toward the Shkhara glacier and views of some of Georgia’s highest peaks. The settlement is reached by road from Mestia, the regional hub for transport, services and onward travel through Svaneti.

At Guesthouse Luka, guests can enjoy traditional Svan cuisine, with breakfast available upon request. The property suits travelers seeking an authentic base for hiking and sightseeing in a remote, high-altitude Svan village setting.
