We publish what we can source. Each news item cites a primary source and links to it. Numbers carry their date and origin. If two official sources disagree, we say so rather than pick one. Status pages (roads, passes, insurance rules) show the date and time of the last real check and a log of changes; we do not re-date pages to look fresh.
Rankings and recommendations are never paid for. No business can buy a place on a “best of” list, a review, or a mention in the news. Our own businesses — GTour tours and Castle in Old Town — are excluded from rankings or labelled where they appear. See Disclosures.
Articles about health, insurance, clinics, medicines, altitude and safety are reviewed by Prof. Giorgi Pkhakadze, MD, MPH, PhD, before publication and carry a “Medically reviewed” line with the review date. They are general information for travellers, not medical advice for an individual.
We use AI tools to monitor official sources, to draft first versions of routine news items and to translate between Georgian and English. A named human editor reads, checks and approves every article before it goes live; AI never publishes on its own. We do not use AI to invent quotes, facts, prices or experiences. Rankings and reviews are based on visits and verification by our team, not on generated text. Pages that do not meet this standard are removed.
We use our own photographs, images from official sources with permission, or openly licensed images with the author and licence named in the caption. We do not publish identifiable images of people without consent.
Articles that also appear in Georgian on our partner site shenidasveneba.ge are marked as such on both sites. The Georgian version is written for Georgian readers and may differ from the English original.
